LAST THOUGHTS...
If you read the story of "Belford 99" historic railcar...
know that I communicated with Lindsey Bell, the owner, to get an update of its fate. The rail car was to be saved and returned to service for track inspection work. Pullman green referenced in the news article as its color when I color designed and painted it was actually Gun Metal Grey roof & undercarriage and 1940 Buick Verde Green on body, with light Forest Green roof panels and highlights of revived yellow stripes & lettering. Had same body color on my 1940 Buick Super Eight (Limited Series 80 shown). Loved it! As with the Buick, it looked black at night and dark green in day light! Was able to recreate "Roaring 20's" wealth impression for this historic rail car before impacted by fire damage cited in article.
Photography, video and sound capture/editing as part of creating instructional media is common craft practice. Pictures below provide a sense of my "Media eye" as from snapshots of mobile art & history one summer's day at an Algonac MI car show along the St. Clair River.
