e-Learning / Performance Support / Job Aids
I had designed and built, solo and collaboratively, numerous CBT and WBT interfaces over the years for online training and job aids. Most people recall a fraction of content presented at first exposure. It is then essential to think of "organizational memory and intelligence" as for access AFTER initial training events. Content can be researched, defined, developed and organized for most workplace activities. Training when properly setup can be accessed at moment-of-need. |
Content Knowledge-bases can be crafted for: Internal use Integrates content development from start to finish to an ISD P-ADDIE process. This provides guidance, and a measure of task discipline to assure ISD defined content elements as subject/topic objectives, competencies, Q&As, etc. maintain relationships . External use End-users can search knowledge-bits of content sorted, viewed and printed for most any of YOUR workplace skills: subjects, topics, competencies and more. |

Enterprise/Corporate ISD Performance Support
A colleague who specialized in auto technician training curricula development and Instructional Systems Design (ISD) had built a spreadsheet model to process and track related information. Following some discussions, I built a simplified functional database that demonstrated easing data capture and display. Information included definitions of worker tasks, tools, skills application conditions, Knowledge-Skills-Attitudes (KSAs), Bloom's Taxonomy levels/verbs and more. The database demonstrated views and reports rapidly accessed from programmed menu options. Such an ISD processing tool was then rare. Ultimately the model was further developed by the company. A US patent was applied for as ISD model explained here. |
